Please join us for our next brownbag -- 5 Things to Know About Evaluation Policy in 2018 -- led by Nick Hart, Director of the Bipartisan Policy Center's Evidence-Based Policymaking Initiative and Chair of the American Evaluation Association's Evaluation Policy Task Force. This brown bag will be held on Friday, July 27 from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at the IBM Center for the Business of Government (600 14th Street NW, 2nd Floor).
Over the last decade the evaluation function in the federal government has grown substantially, with increased attention on the policies and procedures for enabling evaluation of substantive policies. While not fully institutionalized within government, the growth of the practice within government paralleled efforts to understand how evaluation is relevant, how it is conducted, and how results can be useful for improving programs.
Dr. Nick Hart will discuss the implications of recent policy activities relevant for the entire evaluation community, including those in the federal government, state governments, non-profits, the private sector, and academia. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of how the evaluation community can productively contribute to future evaluation policy debates.
